Your Responsibilities:
- Conflict Resolution: Receive and handle inquiries, complaints, and conflict cases in the university context, initiating appropriate mediation or conflict resolution measures.
- Support for the Ombudsperson: Work closely with the Ombudsperson by participating in discussions, documenting cases, and developing recommendations for action.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain confidential files, prepare regular reports on the types and number of cases (in anonymized form) to identify institutional opportunities for improvement.
- Awareness and Prevention: Contribute to the development and implementation of measures for Awareness and Prevention.
- Networking and Communication: Establish and maintain contacts with relevant stakeholders (e.g., academic departments, staff and student representatives) to foster a constructive and respectful communication culture.
- Maintaining Neutrality and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with care and comply with all data protection and confidentiality regulations.
Your Profile:
- Completed university degree, ideally in psychology, law, social sciences or education
- Proven knowledge or experience in mediation, facilitation, or conflict management (e.g., through additional training)
- Ability to explain complex issues clearly and to offer empathetic, solution-oriented advice.
- A structured approach to work, sound handling of confidential data, and proficiency in common office applications
- A high level of responsibility and the ability to balance the interests of all parties fairly
- Enjoy working with diverse groups of people, exhibiting a confident and reliable demeanor.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
